These Terms and Conditions govern participation in competitions operated through www.syndicatewinners.co.uk (“Website”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

By entering a competition on the Website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. The Promoter

2. Eligibility

1. Competitions are open to residents of [United Kingdom / England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland], unless otherwise stated on the relevant competition page.
2. Entrants must be aged [18] or over at the time of entry.
3. Employees of the Promoter, its associated companies, competition sponsors, immediate family members and anyone professionally connected with a particular competition may not enter that competition.
4. We reserve the right to request reasonable proof of age, identity and eligibility.
5. We may refuse or cancel an entry where we reasonably believe that an entrant does not meet the eligibility requirements.

3. Free Entry

1. Entry to competitions on the Website is free. No purchase or payment is required to enter.
2. Unless otherwise stated on the relevant competition page, entrants may submit [ONE] entry per competition.
3. Any attempt to circumvent entry limits, including creating multiple accounts or using automated systems, may result in disqualification.

4. How to Enter

1. To enter, you must complete the entry process described on the relevant competition page.
2. Your entry must be received before the competition closing date and time stated on that page.
3. Entries received after the closing date will not be accepted.
4. We are not responsible for entries that are lost, delayed, incomplete, corrupted or not successfully submitted because of technical problems outside our reasonable control.
5. Unless otherwise stated, an entry is not valid until it has been successfully recorded by our systems.

5. Competition Rules

1. Each competition may have additional rules, requirements or eligibility conditions displayed on its competition page.
2. Those additional rules form part of these Terms and Conditions.
3. Where a competition involves a question, challenge, judging process or other skill-based element, the competition will be operated in accordance with the rules stated on the relevant competition page.

6. Closing Date

1. Each competition will close at the date and time displayed on the relevant competition page.
2. We may extend or shorten a closing date where reasonably necessary, including for technical, operational or legal reasons.
3. Any material change to a competition will be communicated through the Website where reasonably practicable.

7. Selecting the Winner

1. The winner will be selected using the method stated on the relevant competition page.
2. Where the competition is judged, the judging criteria will be stated on the relevant competition page.
3. Where a winner is selected at random, the draw will be conducted using a fair and appropriate random selection process.
4. The Promoter's decision regarding the winner will be final, subject to the entrant's statutory rights.
5. We will retain sufficient records to demonstrate how the winner was selected.

8. Winner Notification

1. The winner will normally be contacted using the details supplied when entering.
2. The winner must respond within [7/14] days of our first attempt to contact them.
3. We may request reasonable information to verify the winner's identity, age and eligibility.
4. If the winner cannot be contacted, fails to provide requested information within the required period, or is found to be ineligible, we may select an alternative winner using the same method as the original selection.
5. We will not require a winner to pay a fee in order to claim a genuine prize.

9. Prizes

1. The prize for each competition will be described on the relevant competition page.
2. Prizes are non-transferable and, unless expressly stated otherwise, cannot be exchanged for cash or another prize.
3. We will make reasonable efforts to provide the advertised prize. If a prize becomes unavailable due to circumstances outside our reasonable control, we may provide a replacement prize of equal or greater value.
4. Any prize supplied by a third party may be subject to that third party's own terms, warranties or conditions.
5. Delivery arrangements and any geographical restrictions will be stated on the relevant competition page where applicable.
6. The Promoter is not responsible for any tax liability arising from a prize where such liability applies to the winner.

10. Publicity

1. Subject to applicable law, we may publish the surname and county of a winner, or otherwise provide this information where required to demonstrate that a valid award took place.
2. If a winner reasonably objects to publication or disclosure, they should contact us at info@veriform.co.uk
3. We may ask winners whether they are willing to participate in reasonable publicity relating to the competition. Participation in publicity will not be a condition of receiving the prize unless clearly stated in advance and legally permitted.

11. Fraud and Disqualification

We may disqualify an entrant where we reasonably believe that they:

have breached these Terms and Conditions;
have provided false or misleading information;
have attempted to enter more times than permitted;
have used automated, fraudulent or unfair methods to enter;
have interfered with the operation of the Website or competition; or
have attempted to gain an unfair advantage over other entrants.

Where appropriate, we may cancel an entry, withdraw a prize or select an alternative winner.

12. Website and Technical Issues

We will take reasonable steps to keep the Website and competitions operating properly. However, we do not guarantee that the Website will always be available or error-free.

We may temporarily suspend a competition where necessary because of technical problems, security concerns, fraud, misuse or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

13. Changes or Cancellation

We reserve the right to cancel, suspend or amend a competition where circumstances outside our reasonable control make this necessary.

We will not make changes that unfairly disadvantage entrants who have already entered, except where necessary to comply with law or to address circumstances outside our reasonable control.

14. Personal Information

1. Personal information collected through competition entries will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
2. We will only use entrants' personal information for purposes permitted by applicable data protection law and as explained in our Privacy Policy.
3. Competition entry information will not automatically subscribe you to marketing communications unless you have separately agreed to receive them where consent is required.

15. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Subject to the above, the Promoter will not be responsible for losses that are not reasonably foreseeable or for circumstances outside its reasonable control.

Please provide your name, the competition concerned and details of your complaint. We will consider complaints fairly and respond within a reasonable period.

17. General

1. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
2. Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms and Conditions does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
3. These Terms and Conditions, together with the specific rules displayed on each competition page, constitute the agreement between you and the Promoter concerning your participation.

18. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of [England and Wales / Scotland / Northern Ireland]. The courts of [England and Wales / Scotland / Northern Ireland] will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.
